Bierman is responsible for managing COMSYS' advanced technology, architecture, and associated development programs and services. Bierman brings his extensive management experience and 19 years in the Information Technology field to the position.

Bierman was promoted to CIO in December 1999, having served as Vice President of Information Systems since January 1997. He worked as an independent consultant from 1994 to 1996 in the nuclear and environmental industries and also served as Manager of Information Systems from 1990 to 1993.

Prior to joining the company, Bierman was a Systems Manager at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Bierman served in the United States Air Force and attended the University of Maryland and Hood College, receiving his Master's Degree in Computer Science.
